My interest lies in capturing the momentum of transition between digital and physical worlds. I call it ‘phygital’ way of working. It proposes a new approach towards fashion designing. I implement digital prototyping, body scanning and 3D printing into early stages of designing process to achieve unexpected outcomes. Along this comes the respect to materiality – I propose no-waste patterning that uses the technique of cut-ups to be assembled into a garment. I find inspiration in the process of deconstruction of historical garments and unexpected assemblage. This combination that takes into the account technical innovations and respect to material could function together as a set of rules for a sustainable designer of the 21st century practice.
